SANCTUARY.
Safety data for the communities the map apps leave out.
A safety-focused navigation and community-data platform for Black and Latino communities, co-founded with Shaun Barton. Three modes — Navigation, Travel, and Relocation — combine ideas from Waze, Zillow, and the Green Book into one ad-free, sourced-data tool.
Know Before
You Go.
Mainstream map and relocation apps weren’t built with these communities in mind. Sanctuary layers documented safety data, verified businesses, and sourced neighborhood scores on top of the everyday tools of getting around and putting down roots.
Safer Navigation
Routes that actively avoid documented sundown towns and high-incident zones — not just the fastest path from A to B.
Verified Business Directory
A travel mode built around verified Black- and Latino-owned businesses, paired with real, sourced safety advisories for the area.
Sanctuary Scores
Every zip code gets a relocation score across six pillars: safety, schools, financial institutions, community resources, minority business density, and faith community.
Technical Arsenal.
Mapping and scoring run client-side against sourced datasets, keeping the experience fast and ad-free — no filler, no tracking-driven feed, just the data a family needs to move safely and settle well.
